    • CDL (with school bus rating) or ability to obtain after hire
    • Strong knowledge of mechanics required
    • Diesel engine knowledge preferred
    • CDE Brake Inspector's Certificate and other school bus certifications preferred
    • Fingerprint and background clearance
    • Be willing to travel to all community bus locations to repair fleet
    • Reports directly to Transportation Supervisor/Lead Mechanic
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

      District Transportation Mechanic
      8 hours/day 249 days/year

      $21.42/hr + depending on experience
      Health insurance benefits available through the School District
      Retirement benefits through PERA

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • ASE certification preferred
      • CDL (with school bus rating) or ability to obtain after hire
      • Strong knowledge of mechanics required
      • Diesel engine knowledge preferred
      • CDE Brake Inspector's Certificate and other school bus certifications preferred
      • Fingerprint and background clearance
      • Be willing to travel to all community bus locations to repair fleet
      • Reports directly to Transportation Supervisor/Lead Mechanic
      • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.


      Must pass Fingerprint/Background Check - Drug Test
      and have or are willing to acquire a CDL License
