At Tennis Australia (TA) we are passionate about what we do, and we have ambitious plans for how we can continue to grow our game from grassroots to Grand Slams. To help us achieve our goals, we are looking for a Diversity & Inclusion Project Assistant to join our Inclusion & Diversity team on a fixed-term basis until February 2024.

      As the Diversity & Inclusion Project Assistant, you will work with the Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) Team to assist and support on delivering I&D projects and initiatives during the summer of Tennis including the Australian Open. This will also include delivering LGBTQ+, First Nations and Disability initiatives in collaboration with external stakeholders.

      About the role

      Reporting to the National Inclusion & Diversity Coordinator, in this role you will:

      • Plan, coordinate, and support the delivery of key projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
      • Provide essential administrative support and general assistance, including taking an active role in attending meetings, documenting outcomes, and efficiently managing follow-up tasks
      • Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with internal and external project stakeholders to drive success
      • Contribute to a variety of operational duties and activities as directed by the Inclusion & Diversity team


      About you

      What you will bring to the role:

      • Experience in Diversity & Inclusion, Project Coordination, Business Administration/Management, or similar
      • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally and collaboratively with multiple teams and diverse groups of people
      • Exceptional organisation and administration skills with a high attention to detail
      • Strong computer literacy with experience in the use of Microsoft Office
      • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion, integrity and confidentiality
      • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
