- Integrate security considerations throughout the software development lifecycle (threat modeling, hardening, code reviews, vulnerability assessments).

Basic Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI required prior to start
• Deep knowledge of microprocessor/microcontroller architectures and low‑level firmware development. such as: ARM, RISC‑V, PowerPC, PIC, AVR, C/C++, device driver development, embedded C
• Hands‑on experience with embedded Linux (kernel, device‑tree, drivers), custom boot loaders, and standard debug tool‑chains such as: Linux kernel, device‑tree, kernel modules, U‑Boot, Coreboot, bootloader, cross‑compiler, JTAG, SWDJob Code/Title

You will be an Embedded Cyber Software Engineer for a research and development team which is responsible for investigating and exploiting the newest technological advances to resolve complex problems.

• Analog & digital circuit design – Schematic capture, PCB layout, signal‑integrity analysis, EAGLE/KiCad/Altium, mixed‑signal troubleshooting.
• RF & wireless fundamentals – RF front‑end concepts, antennas, BLE, Wi‑Fi, LoRa, modulation, filtering.
• Protocol analysis & reverse‑engineering – UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, Ethernet, USB, Wireshark, Saleae, PulseView, custom protocol decoding.
• Digital signal processing (DSP) – FIR/IIR filters, fixed‑point arithmetic, real‑time audio/video processing, FFT.
• Rapid prototyping & development kits – Breadboarding, 3‑D printing, CNC machining, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, System‑on‑Module (SoM).
• Software‑engineering best practices – Git, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI), code reviews, unit testing, Agile/Scrum, documentation.
• Communication & teamwork – Technical writing, presentations, cross‑functional collaboration, mentorship, knowledge sharing.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
