Non-union - This position is permanent full time.
Manage and provide leadership for the Emergency Management Program ensuring all legislative and regulatory requirements are met by the corporation.
Maintain emergency preparedness plans, policies and procedures, ensuring practices align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Coordinate the development and delivery of corporate Emergency Management training exercises.
Maintain corporate training documentation specific to Emergency Response and ensure applicable employees and contractors have completed required training.
Participate on the Corporate Incident Command Team.
Coordinate and maintain the First Responder training plans.
Provide expertise and guidance to employees and senior management regarding emergency management.
Maintain the corporate hazard inventory, including regular updates and leading the annual review workshop.
Lead the corporate management of change process, which includes providing structure for changes and monitoring compliance on an enterprise-wide level.
Provide a high degree of hands-on support to corporate project teams and executive sponsors in the design, delivery, oversight, and reporting related to management of change strategies and plan deliverables.
Act as the Corporate contact for pipeline industry workgroups as necessary (i.e., Critical Infrastructure Association, Canada Energy Regulator, Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, Water Security Agency, and Public Safety Canada).
Other related duties as assigned.
Degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering, or Commerce.
Eight (8) years of progressive experience including responsibility in pipeline regulations, emergency management, and/or project management.
Experience with planning and facilitating emergency management exercises, as well as responding to emergency incidents in the pipeline industry.
Experience in managing a hazard identification and risk assessment process from hazard identification through to the development of controls to manage the hazards.
Ability to provide direction and advice related to workplaces changes, from identification to implementation, in order to address current hazards and prevent future hazards.
Ability to work collaboratively using excellent communication skills with a wide range internal and external stakeholders.
Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.
Travel, including overnight stays away from headquarters is required on occasion.
A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.

The Specialist provides guidance and support for the safe operations of corporate natural gas facilities, including emergency response. The position assists the department in fulfilling the corporate mandate including compliance with legislation and regulations.
