  Job Title: Entry Level Production Worker

  Job Description:

  The Production Operator is responsible for accurately fabricating and assembling material equipment by reading, interpreting, and following basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions or procedures. The role involves setting up and operating fabricating machines such as press brakes, rolls, punch press, shears, cutters, grinders, and drill presses to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise shape and assemble metal components. Additionally, the operator will use multiple measuring devices like scales, feeler gauges, rulers, micrometers, calipers, tee squares, machinist squares, and tape measures to ensure precision. Responsibilities also include punching, jigging, and performing layout of enclosure doors or enclosures, fabricating and installing various metallic or non-metallic items and components, and performing metal corrections and touch-up painting as directed.

  Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines such as press brakes, rolls, punch press, shears, cutters, grinders, and drill presses.
  • Use measuring devices to accurately perform work.
  • Punch, jig, and perform layout of enclosure doors or enclosures.
  • Fabricate and install bus bar sections per drawings or instructions.
  • Perform metal corrections and touch-up painting.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, work rules, guidelines, and regulations.

  Essential Skills

  • Ability to lift 22 pounds on occasion.
  • Comfortable with technical work and basic hand tools.
  • Moderate communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation.

  • Entry-level role; all candidates considered.
  • Good hand and eye dexterity.
  • Motivation to perform repetitive work.
  • Comfortable wearing PPE including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.

  Work Environment

The schedule is from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM on a 4x10 shift, with a flex day option of Monday or Friday off.

  This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
