What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide primary equity research coverage of the Mid Cap Banks sector, managing the equity research process
- Write research reports on key company updates and industry themes
- Create and update financial models and databases to support research efforts
- Attend company and industry events to cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts
- Communicate research findings to both internal stakeholders and external clients through meetings and reports
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 6+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent combination of work experience, training, and education
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in financial modeling
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting principles in the capital markets industry
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- BS/BA or higher
- Direct sell-side experience of 10+ years as lead analyst covering Mid Cap Bank stocks
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet
- Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills
