      Jenks Public Schools Job Description

      Title: ESY Coordinator

      Reports To: Director of Student Programs

      Qualifications:

      1. Special education or related service field teaching certificate or licensure
      2. Meet all certification requirements for Oklahoma, including teaching area endorsement
      3. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship
      4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

      Position Goals: To coordinate special education and related services for students who meet the criteria for extended school year (ESY).

      Responsibilities:

      1. Attend regularly scheduled planning meetings leading up to ESY start date
      2. Coordinate all special education and related services at assigned school site for grades 1st-12th
      3. Coordinate and assign special education students to specific teachers
      4. Assign paraprofessionals to specific teachers/classrooms
      5. Assist with setting up classroom and equipment needs for all special education students
      6. Provide technical assistance, programming, and support to all ESY special education staff
      7. Ensure that progress reports are completed and entered into EdPlan
      8. Perform all other duties as assigned

      Terms of Employment:

      February 1, 2026 - May 31, 2026 (as needed)

      June 1, 2026 - June 30, 2026 (scheduled ESY dates and hours)

      Classification: Certified - Temporary
