- Assist in the review of new systems requirements and opportunities for system enhancements under the direction of the Manager - Involves meetings, presentations and research with project stakeholders and staff
- Develop, document and review process and information models to analyze and implement process and system improvements
- Assist with the preparation of plans, schedules, proposals, and requirements for finance projects
- Provide quality assurance by performing unit and integration testing on external and internal software
- Provide specifications, create test scripts, providing feedback, document all phases of the development life cycle and recommend changes or enhancements where necessary
- Track and troubleshooting of issues identified from functional and technical aspects
- Identify and evaluate training needs and develop in-house training programs for customers on various finance systems
- Develop user manuals, training tools, website content, and provide training programs to the broader University community
Provide one-on-one assistance and coaching for clients and colleagues, in both a one-on-one setting and group environment - Create user guides and manuals for end users
- Provide expertise on best practices on new systems and functionalities.
- Provide ongoing production support for Finance department and Finance system users
- Monitor and maintaining system security and access for clients
- Provide and/or design reports to support adhoc operational requirements
- Maintain system validation tables and setup to meet changing legislated requirements, board approved policy changes, and changes in operational requirements
- Review, document and communicate system changes from software upgrades; perform system testing and report results for upgrades and patch updates
Troubleshoot production errors related to Finance Systems - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholder or clients
- The incumbent is required to have problem solving and analytical skills to perform the duties of this position as they gather requirements and resolve issues
- Advanced Microsoft Office and proficiency in Microsoft Project and Visio
- Completion of a University Program consisting of Four Academic Years
- Over 1 year and including 3 years

Job Summary: The Finance Systems Analyst is responsible for the on-going support of Finance information systems, including testing, implementation, training, and documentation of various short-and long-term Finance projects and system changes. Financial systems include, but are not limited to, Banner Finance (Student Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Tri-Council) Banner Document Management System, Banner Self-Service, Banner Communication Management and Workflow, FAST Applications, Concur Travel and Expense Reporting, and Touch Net Information Systems.
