      This .50 FTE position is headquartered at 3319 West Beltline Highway, Madison, WI.

      Position Summary

      This 50% position reports to the Director of the Office of Charitable Gaming and performs program support for the Charitable Gaming program. This position is primarily responsible for processing payments from Charitable Organizations and responding to phone and email inquiries regarding charitable programs. The incumbent must have the ability to input computer data with a high attention to detail, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to perform a variety of program support. A working knowledge of Chapter 563 of the Wisconsin Statutes is required.

      Salary Information

      This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 02-11. The pay rate for this classification is $21.66 per hour, plus excellent benefits . A 12-month probation may be required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan at the time of hire

      Job Details

      Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.

      This position has flexibility in scheduling and a portion of the work may be performed remotely. This topic and any remote work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process.

      Qualifications

      Minimally qualified candidates will have EACH of the following:
      • Experience with accounts receivable, preparing bank deposits and/or reconciliations
      • Experience with computer programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite or similar (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Pro, etc.)
      • Experience performing administrative tasks (e.g., answering phones, managing and maintaining records, using a scanner, etc.)
      • Experience assisting customers and/or stakeholders with questions by utilizing a variety of communication methods (e.g., phone, email, fax, in- person, etc.)
      • Experience handling sensitive/confidential information and/or documentation
      In addition to the above, well-qualified candidates will also have at least one of the following:
      • Experience with accounting systems (e.g., STAR/PeopleSoft or similar
      • Experience with electronic file management systems
      • Experience reading and interpreting Wisconsin statutes
