  What we need:

  Mohawk is looking for a Foam Operator in the Dalton, Ga area. In this role, you are responsible for sewing secondary backing together, selvedge bailer, and the adhesive pan.

  What you’ll do: Use the backing seamer to sew the backing together for continuous production. Keep the latex in the applicator pan and keeps the pan clean. Help in oven detail as needed and mix all foam for Duralon. Keep up with backing rolls that have sew-on and give list to office clerk. Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision Follow all established standard operating procedures Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary Perform other tasks assigned by management What you have: High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience. What you’re good at: Interpersonal skills, manual dexterity, mechanical skills, math skills and judgement skills. Pays attention to details. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations. Must be able to motivate and work well with others. What else? Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and balance. Occasionally required to look at reports. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds approximately 10 times per shift. Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled.
