      Front Desk Support – Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center

      THPRD is seeking highly organized Front Desk Support staff dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. As the first point of contact for visitors, this role helps create a welcoming and inclusive environment. Staff who regularly use bilingual or multilingual skills are eligible for a 5% pay incentive!


      Position & Location:

      Front Desk Support - Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center

      The Front Desk Support position is a general clerical role. Responsibilities include operating the Center’s telephone system, assisting patrons at the front counter, processing payments, answering questions about the Center and District programs, and performing other clerical tasks as needed.

      Effective February 15: The hourly hiring range for this position is $19.19 to $19.78, based on experience and internal equity. The full hourly pay range for this job classification is $19.19 to $21.63. Employees hired into this role may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.

      Scheduling:
      This entry-level position is typically scheduled 4 to 29 hours per week, with shifts between 5:15 am and 9:45 pm. Shifts may vary based on programming needs.

      Current shifts needing coverage are:

      • Sundays: 8:45 am – 1:30 pm & 10:30 am – 4:00 pm


      Key Responsibilities:

      • Greet the public in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring positive experiences in person and over the phone.
      • Provide helpful information about schedules, program descriptions, and district services.
      • Answer telephone calls and direct them to appropriate personnel; take accurate messages when needed.
      • Provide general clerical support, including data entry, preparing and proofreading forms, letters, flyers, and promotional materials.
      • Assist with program enrollment, registration procedures, and payment processing.
      • Generate prescribed reports as needed.
      • Maintain a professional, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all patrons and colleagues.


      Qualifications:

      • Previous experience in administrative, clerical, or customer support preferred.
      • Knowledge of office management principles and ability to apply them to work problems.
      • Basic understanding of software and computer operations, specifically Office 365 (Word, Excel, Publisher, Teams).
      • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks.
      • Flexible schedule including weekends and varied shifts.

      Requirements:

      • Must be at least 16 years of age.
