- Receive direction from the shop lead regarding work priorities.
- Ensure parts received from Tear Down are clean and ready for pre-assembly.
- Transport parts to the pre-assembly area.
- Clean out scrap bins and empty trash at the workstation as needed.
- Inform maintenance of machinery breakdowns.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Cross-train in other areas of the shop as directed.
- Experience in production and general labor.
- Ability to wash and blast parts ensuring cleanliness.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Basic automotive or mechanical skills.
- Familiarity with and use of power tools.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to cross-train in other areas of the shop.
- Ability to read schematics is a plus.
Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker who will receive direction from the shop lead on work priorities. This role involves receiving parts from the Tear Down area, ensuring parts are clean, transporting them to pre-assembly, cleaning out scrap bins, and emptying trash at the workstation as needed. The General Production Worker must inform maintenance of any machinery breakdowns and maintain a clean and safe workspace. Additionally, tasks may include cross-training in other areas of the shop.

Work EnvironmentWork in a manufacturing environment with an assembly line dedicated to transmission tear downs, complemented by a warehouse for receiving and shipping products. Please note that the work environment is not climate controlled.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Algona, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
