  Role

  The Golf Starter/Marshal assists in ensuring that all guests experience excellent service and hospitality while staying at the resort and playing golf. You are one of the most important members of the golf staff. It is your responsibility to ensure that our guests enjoy their golf experience and to assist them in any way possible. This position reports to the Assistant Golf Professional.

  Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  · Being completely knowledgeable about the resort

  · Having an excellent presence when working with the guest

  · Maintaining a reasonable pace of play

  · Keeping in close contact with the Starter and Tournament Coordinator

  · Assisting in setting up special events and leading groups to respective holes

  · Contacting golf maintenance with any problems that may have occurred on the course

  · Assisting the golf maintenance staff with the movement of traffic control ropes

  · Checking all water coolers and on-course rest room facilities for cleanliness and general maintenance

  · Monitoring on-course refuse and taking steps to eliminate if waste exceeds capacity of the trash cans

  · Keeping ranger cart clean and stocked with guest supplies

  · Distributing cold towels to players on the course

  · Maintaining knowledge of first aid, CPR and use of AED

  · Complying with all safety requirements and regulations
