  Role Summary

  This role will be supporting the COO to establish the frameworks and controls around the Capital Markets Business. To drive improvement within existing and new processes and documentation.

  You will play a key role in building the operational infrastructure to support the sustainable growth of this business.

  You will be a key driver for any change initiatives and new business initiatives for the Capital Markets business and as such responsible to the clear definitions of delivery plans and targets, enabling the effective and controlled growth and integrating expansion opportunities when they arise.

  As a liaison between the Capital Markets business and Control & Support functions of the wider group, you will be a key contact and go to person.

  • Support the COO team in delivering change projects across Capital Market
  • Trying to identify inefficiencies by reviewing existing processes and proposing enhancements
  • Supporting the delivery of key strategic in-house technology platforms as well as the roll out of third-party systems
  • Automate/ Streamline the production of key Management Information (MI) and reporting for the CM business

  Skills and Experience:

  • A graduate with a grade average of 2:1 and above
  • Problem solving skills

  • Very strong Excel, VBA or Python skills in addition to MS Office skills

  • A meticulous eye for detail

  • The ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment

  Overall Responsibilities

  You will be exposed to a wide range of tasks and projects, among others:

  • Supports new business initiatives for the business following and improving the groups change process
    • Generates ideas on how to improve the management of new business initiatives
    • Responsible for the effective communication with key stakeholders
    • Responsible for establishing Project plans, identifying scope

  • Creating, reviewing and improve existing MI and KPIs to effectively monitor and steer the business
  • Creating transparency around costs and budgets and driving efficiencies and cost reductions and proactively trying to rationalise costs where possible
  • Reviews Capital Markets cost base and budget, including initiating and implementing measures to control and reduce them in a sustainable manner
  • Driving change for the Capital Markets team by establishing new processes, reviewing existing ones and identifying enhancements
  • Supporting the assessment of existing platforms and delivering the IT strategy for the Capital Markets team. Support regulatory initiatives/projects with the subject matter experts together with Legal and Compliance
