      Job Description
      Assists Journeyman in construction and maintenance of generating facilities and electric substations. Performs duties pertaining to the daily tasks of an entry level person on an Electric Shop crew. Learn new tasks continually and be seeking to support the crew efforts. Supports a safe work environment by performing varied housekeeping and organizational tasks. This position is the highest of a multi-step progression. Lower steps in this classification are expected to progress into all aspects of these duties.

      This position is instrumental in maintaining the reliability of systems used to ensure the safety of Avista’s employees and customers. Therefore, a positive safety culture is a primary focus for this position.

      Requirements
      • Requires knowledge about basic electricity and related experience in construction or production environments.
      • Mechanical ability, previous electrical work helpful.
      • Requires a valid driver's license and must be able to obtain a DOT medical certificate in the first thirty (30) days of employment.
      • Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
