      Permanent Highway Technician 1 (HT1), PN 20058141 - Geauga County

      What You Will Do:

      As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to:

      • Serve the public and contribute to making Ohio's roads safer.
      • Attend training to obtain CDL licensure if you are not already a licensed CDL holder.
      • Perform a variety of highway maintenance activities, such as flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing.
      • Participate in snow and ice operations to ensure safe travel during winter conditions.

      Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment.

      Note: Applicant must have valid Commercial Driver’s License at the appropriate level pursuant to approved position description on file to operate motorized equipment of size & type regulated by section 4506 of Ohio Revised Code.
