      Environmental Inspector (Field-Based | NYC)

      Join a collaborative environmental team supporting major agency projects across New York City.

      We’re hiring an ENVIRONMENTAL INSPECTOR with 2+ years of experience in field investigations, environmental sampling, and inspections. This is a field-based role ideal for early-career professionals looking to grow under experienced staff while contributing to high-impact environmental work across the five boroughs.

      About the Role

      You’ll support site investigations, sampling, and inspections for NYC agency projects. Under the guidance of senior scientists, you’ll assist in fieldwork, data evaluation, and report preparation while tracking regulatory deadlines and contributing to project documentation.

      ️ Key Responsibilities

      • Conduct field investigations, sampling, and inspections
      • Assist in preparing project planning documents and technical reports
      • Support data evaluation and documentation
      • Work independently and as part of a project team
      • Track and meet contractual and regulatory deadlines

      ✅ Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
      • 2+ years of experience in environmental fieldwork
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
      • 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
      • NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector License AND EPA Risk Assessor License is required
      • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

      Job Type & Location

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bronx, NY.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
