      Introduction

      We are seeking a Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) Summer Intern to join our QEHS team. You will be responsible for helping shape our safety culture by assisting in the design, implementation, maintenance of our integrated QEHS systems, policies, procedures. In this position, you will report to the HSE Manager.

      This position is mainly located in Mesa, AZ, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

      Team you belong to

      You will join a team of HSE experts dedicated to improving safety culture, investigation of workplace incidents, non-conformity, and corrective actions.

      What you’ll do

      • Assist with the development of HSE processes, procedures, policies, and programs.
      • Support with HSE trainings, campaigns, and documentation.
      • Participate in internal ISO (9001, 14001, 45001) audits and safety inspections, to verify conformity and compliance.
      • Work with HSE Manager/Supervisor to develop HSE legal Registry, HSE Risk & Opportunity Assessment, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Library.
      • Implementation of 5S program at the cent center.
      • Assist with sustainability initiatives such as recycling, energy and water conservation.
      • Participate in the investigation of workplace incidents, non-conformity, and corrective Actions.
      • Take part in Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings and support actions.
      • Provide support for other HSE related projects and additional administrative duties as assigned.

      Who you are

      • Enrolled in post-secondary degree or diploma in Health & Safety, Environment, Engineering, Engineering technology or Similar Field.
      • Knowledge in OSHA, MSHA, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001
      • Speak and write in English.
      • Self-motivated with good organizational and communication skills.
      • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
