What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate the ADA Interactive Process to provide reasonable accommodations for qualified employees with disabilities
- Coordinate the Modified Duty program, reviewing requests and ensuring appropriate medical documentation
- Handle FMLA/Non-FMLA Medical Leave Administration, assessing eligibility and maintaining employee leave files
- Serve as an HR Administration representative at meetings and workgroups related to the position
- Conduct training for management and employees regarding HR policies and procedures, including ADA and Modified Duty
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- At least 5 years of division-level human resources experience
- Minimum of 3 years of in-depth experience with Employee Relations, ADA, and/or FMLA
- Knowledge of Arizona Revised Statutes, FMLA, ADA, and employment-related laws
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with excellent organizational and analytical abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in conducting training for HR-related policies and procedures
- Familiarity with ADOA Personnel Rules and Regulations
- Proven ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
- Experience in mediation practices and conflict resolution
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships
