  IBM DB2 Lead / DB2 Technical Lead
  Tier : Tier 1/Tier 2
  Location : Pune/Hyderabad
  Role Summary
  We are looking for an experienced IBM DB2 Lead to own the design, administration,
  performance, and reliability of DB2 database environments. This role combines deep hands-on
  DB2 expertise with leadership responsibilities, including guiding DBAs, collaborating with
  application teams, and driving database best practices across the organization.
  Key Responsibilities
   Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IBM DB2 databases (LUW and/or
  z/OS).
   Own DB2 performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
   Manage high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery strategies (HADR,
  replication, etc.).
   Oversee database upgrades, migrations, and patching with minimal downtime.
   Define and enforce DB2 standards, governance, and best practices.
   Troubleshoot and resolve complex DB2 production issues.
   Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams on database design and
  integration.
   Lead and mentor junior DBAs and provide technical guidance.
   Support security, compliance, and auditing requirements.
   Participate in on-call support and major incident management as required.
  Required Skills & Qualifications
   10+ years of experience working with IBM DB2 (LUW and/or z/OS).
   Strong expertise in SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
   Hands-on experience with backup/recovery, HA/DR, and replication.
   Experience with DB2 utilities, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.
   Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and/or mainframe environments.
   Experience leading technical teams or acting as a DB2 subject-matter expert.
   Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  Preferred / Nice to Have
   Experience with DB2 on z/OS (if LUW-focused role, or vice versa).
   Exposure to cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).
   Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and database automation.

   IBM DB2 certifications.
   Experience with other databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
   Automobile domain experience
  Education
   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
  experience.
