What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare, author, and revise technical documents in support of technical data package improvements
- Coordinate the development of new technical data and translation of materials
- Implement preventive maintenance procedure changes in Logistics Support Analysis Records
- Support the development of technical data package in-service management plan and procedures
- Ensure standards and controls are being followed in technical documentation processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Possess a minimum of a 2-year technical program related to any naval discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with technical data package products
- Completion of Technical Writer Ontario College Graduate Certificate program or equivalent
- Experience with desktop publishing processes and graphics production software
- Knowledge of S1000D specification and IETM format
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Canadian Forces Technical Orders format and modification of OEM Technical Publications into Government Adopted Publications
- Knowledge of National Defence Index of Documentation and equipment registration number processes
- Experience in Logistics Support Analysis Record software and manipulating raw .XML data
