What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage accounts receivable for Ambulatory Surgical Centers, including collection efforts on Insurance Accounts
- Follow up on denials and submit appeals in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with insurance representatives regarding appeals and denials
- Maintain excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks
- Understand and navigate the insurance collection process and managed care contracts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstrated experience in medical billing, insurance guidelines, and appeals process
- Minimum of 40Mbps internet download speed to effectively run systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English
- Ability to work cooperatively with co-employees, management, patients, and external contacts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in Healthcare Insurance Collecting
- Familiarity with managed care contracts, fee schedules, and allowables
- Experience working with non-participating providers
- Strong problem-solving skills related to insurance collection tasks
