Job Description

- Work directly with Continuous Improvement Manager, Operations Team, and other plant functional leaders to coordinate and assist with improvement initiatives resulting in quality, throughput, cost, and profit opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team in the development of projects and implementing changes where the project relates to:
- 5S
- Visual Management Improvements
- Processing waste identification and remediation
- Preparing and/or writing work instructions for manufacturing processes
- Custom fixture design, build, and implementation
- Participate and lead Kaizen events for continuous improvement opportunities
- Provide support for various problem-solving activities
- Develop and implement mechanisms to share best practices and lessons learned
- Follow and maintain all plant safety guidelines
- Collaborate with other business teams as needed on various projects.
- Currently pursuing a college undergraduate or graduate degree in manufacturing, science, or engineering
- Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Effective and professional communication and organization skills
- High level of self-motivation and personal accountability and works with a strong sense of urgency
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools
- Lean or Six Sigma Training
- Ability to exercise influence without authority
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing tasks
Continuous Improvement Intern (Taylorville)
Who We Are Looking For
The Continuous Improvement Intern will be tasked with the responsibility of improving material delivery and assembly processes utilizing AGCO Production System principles to maximize efficiency.
This is a paid, full-time internship during the summer of 2024 at AGCO Grain and Protein Taylorville, Illinois facility. Housing is provided for students who reside more than fifty miles from Taylorville. Students are required to work forty hours per week on-site at our office in Taylorville from May through August, 2024.
