      Job Description

      Our Healthcare Equity Capital Markets team is actively looking for an Analyst or Associate for our New York office. The qualified candidate will have a high level of responsibility and extensive access to senior management and clients. The ECM transaction teams are typically small in size, providing junior team members with significant responsibilities and opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills early in their career.

      Position available for immediate hire.

      Responsibilities:

      • Prepare complex financial analysis on companies looking to execute an equity capital raise
      • Prepare client pitch materials evaluating the most beneficial structure for an equity capital raise
      • Evaluate current and historical market data to support recommendations to clients
      • Support the preparation of detailed memoranda and presentations describing the key attributes of client companies
      • Research and maintain databases of key healthcare investors
      • Manage the execution of equity offerings and communicate with the client’s Management team
      • Act as primary coverage for key accounts, including idea generation and client interaction / relationship building
      • Participate in various marketing and recruiting activities of the firm
      • Recruit, train and mentor Analysts within the team

      Qualifications:

      • Experience using MS Excel and PowerPoint
      • Sales driven mentality with a strong capital markets acumen
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product
      • Strong work ethic and team players
      • Dealogic, Ipreo, CapIQ, PlacementTracker, Bloomberg, MS Office suite knowledge strongly preferred
      • SIE, 63, 79 FINRA Registrations required at time of hiring or shortly thereafter

      Compensation:

      For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
