      Satterfield & Pontikes is adding a Desktop Support Specialist to the team! In this role you will answer questions and manage requests related to information systems (IS) production jobs.

      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

      • Perform basic troubleshooting for Windows and Mac operating systems, software, and network connectivity.
      • Provide responsive and friendly end-user support via in-person, phone, or remote channels.
      • Utilize ticketing systems to document support activities accurately and in a timely manner.
      • Track IT inventory and manage asset check-in/check-out processes.
      • Set up and tear down workstations, peripherals, and other user equipment as needed.
      • Follow established procedures and escalate technical issues appropriately.
      • Maintain a strong customer service focus while supporting users with varying technical skill levels.
      • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic IT environment.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

      • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred)
      • 1-2 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role (internships or school-based experience acceptable
      • CompTIA A+ certification (preferred)
      • Microsoft Certified: Windows Client (preferred)
      • Google IT Support Professional Certificate (preferred)
      • ITIL Foundation (entry-level, preferred)
      • Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments
      • Basic understanding of networks, hardware, and software support concepts
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to follow documented procedures and escalate when needed

      PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

      • May require lifting and carrying light loads, 10 or more pounds (e.g., boxes, small equipment, materials) and stooping or kneeling (e.g., filing documents in lower file drawers, picking up items from the floor, or removing and replacing items on lower shelving).
      • Strong manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers, etc.).
      • Activities include extended periods of sitting, movement, and extensive work at a computer and phone.
