Job Description

- Assist in supporting the securing of the Operational Technology (OT) systems used in our manufacturing environment in McPherson, KS. This position will specifically be involved in an ongoing project – Management of Outdated Systems (MoOS).
- Support IT infrastructure including endpoints, servers, networking, and user access.
- Help monitor system performance, availability, and security for IT and OT environments.
- Assist with documentation of processes, procedures, and system configurations.
- Support cybersecurity best practices for both IT and OT systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Corporate IT.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Basic understanding of IT and OT concepts.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Interest in networking, cybersecurity, and industrial systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Availability to work up to 40 hours per week during standard business hours.
- Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Coursework or interest in industrial systems or infrastructure support is preferred.

Base: $21.00 - $25.00 hourly, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.

Job Description Summary
Viega LLC is seeking a motivated Operational Technology (OT) & Information Technology (IT) Intern to join the Regional IT Infrastructure Support team. This professional internship provides hands-on experience supporting both manufacturing-focused OT systems and enterprise IT infrastructure. The intern will gain exposure to real-world environments, collaborate with experienced IT professionals, and contribute to operational reliability, cybersecurity, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
