      Duties


      • Designs and integrates technology capabilities for the Department of War Healthcare Enterprise, as well as, the Joint (Army, Navy, Air Force, VA) medical community through innovation and entrepreneurship.
      • Provides high quality and cost-effective IT resources support for all aspects of health service delivery.
      • Establishes, directs, and enforces IM/IT engineering standards, technical baselines, and design principles across the organization.
      • Monitors and reports on standards and compliance to improve the quality of the IM/IT services delivered.
      • Advises senior level management on engineering and technology implementation, security, technology employment, integration, and sustainability.
      • Monitors the execution of all Defense Health Agency enterprise-level IM/IT initiatives, programs, and projects supporting DoW healthcare strategic IT requirements.
      • Recommends potential changes for security initiatives.

      Requirements


      • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
      • Approximately 25% travel may be required. Travel may involve local, remote and or overnight.
      • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access. A pre-employment and recurring comprehensive background investigations are required.
      • This is a Cyber Workforce position. Selectee must meet certification requirements for cyber security code 651,Enterprise Architect within 6 months. (Cert requirements may be found in DoWM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Mngt Program).
      • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
