Job Description
- Req#: 9097
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science preferred.
- Reports directly to Laboratory Supervisor
- Lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally
- Frequently ascend/descend stairs
- Change, load, rotate, clean and maintain processors.
- Change, load, rotate, clean and maintain staining instrumentation.
- Change, load, and maintain coverslipper.
- Compare slides to blocks to ensure case numbers are correct and tissue matches.
- Compare slides to requisition forms to ensure case numbers are correct and tissue matches.
- Restock supplies as needed.
- Dispose of hazardous waste according to procedure.
- Must adhere to all department protocols and procedures.
- Must be reliable, dependable and have an excellent attendance history.
- Must be a team player.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with others.
- Working knowledge of office equipment.
