Union - This position is temporary full time for up to 6 months.
Perform various manual duties using a variety of hand and shop tools in accordance with the SaskEnergy programs and procedures taking every reasonable precaution to protect self and others in the performance of duties such as:
Meter Shop (in accordance with SaskEnergy’s Quality Assurance Program)Prepare diaphragm meters for the repair process by degreasing, washing, removing caps, etc.
Perform a quality assurance check on meters, prior to painting.
Operate painting equipment to paint meters that have been re-verified.
Maintain meter washing and painting equipment and related tools.
Palletize meters for shipment/storage.
Pick-up miscellaneous shop supplies as requested.
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of department equipment, facilities and materials.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks for transporting meters, pallets and supplies.
Perform inventory checks of paint and other materials associated with the painting/washing processes.
Assist with the receipt, delivery, scheduling and data entries for meters and devices.
Assist with the dispensation of returned AMI modules, including removal from the meter and deactivation of the module.
Assist with the disassembly of meters and recycling of meter parts.
Assist with inspecting and verifying incoming shipments.
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Physically fit.
