Job Description

- Open legal order matters for EMEA regions in case management system
- Assess the validity of the legal order in accordance with Amex procedures
- Prepare correspondence to an issuer of a legal request
- Evaluate legal orders and determine the scope of each request and what data/documents are responsive, research internal platforms for accounts, and identify responsive documents
- Retrieve responsive documents and data, prepare and timely remit fulfillment packages in accordance with applicable privacy laws and Amex procedures
- Comply in all aspects with applicable EMEA country specific laws and Amex procedures
- Regularly collaborate and engage with leaders on the progress of assigned work and raise any doubts or escalations in accordance with Amex procedures
- Perform other assigned work-related duties as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and one or more other EU languages -German, French or Spanish (native level proficiency)
- Experienced as a legal assistant in a legal office working under the supervision of litigation attorneys
- Ability to prioritize, ability to discern critical matters and to meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Able to quickly train on, navigate, and extract information from a variety of databases and information platforms
- Able to work independently and a team player
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, able to analyze and problem solve
- Able to work productively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

As part of the Global Litigation and Investigations Team, the Analyst - Legal, will provide dedicated operations support to the Global Legal Order Processing Unit Center of Excellence in the EMEA region.
