- Administer and maintain the company's franchise compliance platform, ensuring accurate records and timely updates
- Track compliance deadlines, documentation requirements, and reporting obligations
- Communicate procedural compliance requirements to franchisees as directed
- Maintain compliance calendars, dashboards, and audit-ready documentation
- Maintain centralized legal document repositories and compliance workflows
- Track legal department policy updates, templates, and standardized documentation
- Manage filing calendars and assist with compliance status reporting
- Assist with corporate governance documentation and organizational records
- Track and manage business license renewals, registrations, and annual filings
- Maintain entity records and compliance logs for corporate entities
- Maintain contract and lease documentation repositories
- Track key contract terms, renewal dates, and compliance obligations
- Support contract intake and documentation routing for legal review
- Assist with document collection and organization for litigation and discovery requests
- Maintain litigation files, production logs, and key deadline tracking
- Monitor insurance certificates and compliance requirements tied to contracts and franchise agreements
- Track documentation related to trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property matters
- Assist with privacy documentation tracking and compliance updates
- Coordinate documentation with internal teams as needed
- Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification or equivalent experience preferred
- 3-7 years of experience in legal operations, compliance administration, paralegal support, contract administration, or a related field
- Experience working with franchise compliance tracking systems or legal management platforms preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and documentation requirements
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to manage compliance deadlines and regulatory tracking
- Professional communication with internal teams and external partners
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Organized and process-oriented with strong follow-through

Position Overview
Inter-State Studio is seeking a Legal & Compliance Specialist to support our General Counsel in managing the company's legal operations and compliance processes for both Inter-State Studio and its affiliate Inter-State Franchise, LLC. This role focuses on maintaining compliance systems, organizing legal documentation, tracking deadlines, and supporting contract and regulatory administration across the organization.
This position plays an important role in ensuring legal documentation, compliance obligations, and corporate records are maintained accurately and efficiently. The Legal & Compliance Specialist works under the direction of the General Counsel and does not provide legal advice.
This is a full-time, fully remote position.*Please note- Our employment eligibility is limited to certain states due to payroll and tax requirements. Please see the list of eligible states at the end of this posting.
