      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Serve as the Spills Program Governmental Relations lead and Tribal Liaison
      - Advise the Program Manager to support informed decision-making and strategic planning
      - Represent the Spills Program on legislative and external work groups and committees
      - Coordinate management and leadership team meetings and tasks
      - Support the Spills Program's incident response efforts as a Liaison Officer

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Eleven (11) years of experience in land use, urban, regional, environmental, or natural resource planning
      - Advanced experience in legislative and public policy development at the state and/or federal level
      - Demonstrated expertise in environmental policy related to oil spill prevention and response
      - Proven ability to analyze and draft complex legislation and policy papers
      - Strong governmental relations experience, including coordination with Tribal governments

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
      - Experience with Northwest Area Contingency plan policies and the Incident Command System
      - Strong communication skills and public speaking experience
      - Knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect (DEIR) principles
      - Leadership and facilitation skills, including consensus building and advising senior management
