  Position Overview

  Pay Range: $25.50/hr - $26.06/hr + $1.50 Shift Premium
  Hours: 1:30pm – 10:00pm, Monday - Friday (Overtime as production demands)

  Responsibilities

  • Consistently manufacture “great tasting“ sausage products according to specifications
  • Work together with others to obtain World Class stuffing results in safety, yields, usages, efficiencies, and quality
  • Learn to perform Stuffing essential functions by completing result blocks
  • Work together with Stuffing Members regarding development of "Best Practices"
  • Have the opportunity to think pro-actively and understand how Stuffing effects plant flow
  • Actively participate in daily TAILGATE meetings and take part in innovation and continuous improvement project teams
  • Set goals and objectives; both personal and as a Team Member to acquire "superlative" performance in order to support The Johnsonville Way
  • Properly set up equipment
  • Trouble shoot equipment
  • Use SAP software to transfer materials
  • Cross train/learn other positions on the production line

  Skills

  • Meet customer’s needs and expectations
  • Able to read and understand production schedule
  • Able to identify types of casings with proper products
  • Identify different products with 100% accuracy
  • Maintain acceptable rework percent
  • Able to identify different linkers, know the correct horn sizes and be able to control stuffing speeds
  • Able to set up and tear down stuffer
  • Proactive team player
  • Take ownership of own and Members’ safety
  • Lead by example
  • Lift 30lbs on a regular basis
  • Willing to learn another dedicated job/skill
  • Cross train/learn other positions on the production line is required.
  • Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English.

  Other Requirements

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check
