      Job Title: Maintenance ElectricianJob Description

      We are seeking an expert-level Maintenance Electrician responsible for performing essential maintenance repairs. The role involves troubleshooting control panels, conveyor systems, and various equipment, diagnosing and maintaining furnace and accessory equipment, and performing major electrical troubleshooting and fault analysis.

      Responsibilities
      • Troubleshoot control panels, conveyor systems, pumps, sensors, relays, circuits, and mixing equipment.
      • Diagnose and maintain the furnace and accessory equipment for metal forging.
      • Perform major electrical troubleshooting including diagnosing faults with a multimeter, reading schematics, hooking up motors, and conducting fault analysis of circuits.
      • Install sensors and PLC cabinets.
      • Conduct minor fabrication including tack welding of small parts to assist mechanics.
      • Collaborate with the engineering team on up-fitting projects.
      • Troubleshoot the PLC system and sensory equipment.
      • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and productive environment.
      Essential Skills
      • Reading and interpreting electrical troubleshooting and wiring schematics.
      • Experience with automation and Allen Bradley PLC.
      • Troubleshooting electrical issues within the plant.
      • Working with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, motors, control panels, sensors, relays, and circuits.
      • Diagnosing issues utilizing blueprints and schematics.
      • Performing preventive maintenance.
      • Experience with Siemens PLC.
      Additional Skills & Qualifications
      • Any secondary schooling is helpful but not required.
      • Great work history is valued.
      • A mechatronics degree is beneficial.

      Work Environment

      The work environment is a steel mill that processes recycled material into building materials for the construction industry. The large hangar-style buildings are not climate controlled, resulting in temperate conditions in winter and hot conditions in the summer due to the foundry.

      The pay range for this position is $79040.00 - $95000.00/yr.
