- Leads and supervises a team of Systems Administrators delivering 24/7 operational support.
- Manages ticket queues, workload distribution, incident response, and change management activities.
- Provides coaching, performance reviews, and career development for team members.
- Enforces operational standards, documentation, and process adherence (ITIL, SOPs, runbooks).
- Oversees day to day administration of Windows and/or Linux servers.
- Manages routine system tasks: patching, updates, hardening, user administration, and lifecycle management.
- Maintains storage systems, backups, permissions, and access controls.
- Monitors system health, performance, and capacity; ensures alerts are triaged and resolved quickly.
- Ensures adherence to security baselines, policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Partners with the Security team on vulnerability remediation, audit support, and corrective actions.
- Maintains accurate asset inventories, configuration records, and documentation.
- Leads incident response for system-related outages or performance issues.
- Conducts post incident reviews and drives corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Experiences supporting and administering Azure cloud technologies, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable operations across hybrid environments.
- Coordinates with the Infrastructure Engineering team for escalations, project handoffs, and new system rollouts.
- Works with Network, Security, and Application teams to ensure reliable end to end service delivery.
- Communicates operational status, risks, and service impacts to leadership and stakeholders.
- 5-7+ years of hands-on systems administration experience.
- 1-3+ years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong experience with Windows Server/Linux, virtualization platforms, backup tools, monitoring platforms, Active Directory and Azure.
- Solid understanding of ITIL practices (incident, problem, change).
- Experience supporting hybrid or cloud-connected environments.
- Exposure to automation tools (PowerShell preferred).
- Strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Effective team leadership and communication.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high availability environment.

Overview
The Manager – Systems Administration leads the team responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and support of the organization’s server, storage, and core infrastructure systems. This role ensures system availability, compliance, and operational excellence while collaborating closely with the Infrastructure Engineering team, Security, Networking, and business units. The focus is on stability, uptime, process execution, and ensuring consistent service delivery, not engineering or designing new platforms.
At this time, US Anesthesia Partners does not hire candidates residing in California, Hawaii, or Alaska.
The base pay estimate for this role is $97,900 - 166,500 annually. The final offer will depend on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate. This range is for base pay only and does not include bonuses or other compensation. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Bonuses are not guaranteed and are awarded based on company and individual performance.
