      Position: Marketing Account Manager

Location: AutoCanada Home Office, Edmonton, AB

      Classification: Full Time, Immediate Hire

AutoCanada is the largest Canadian owned and publicly traded automotive dealer group operating in Canada and the US. We are innovative, data-driven and our commitment to our Team Members, customers and operational excellence fuels our success.

Our dealership Team Members are at the heart of our success, building long-lasting, trust-based relationships with customers across Canada. Our national network provides opportunities and support to build the career that’s right for you. Working here is fast-paced, non-stop, and a little unpredictable—and we love it.

      Your area of focus.

As the Marketing Account Manager, you will own the performance, planning, and cross-functional coordination of lead-generating marketing activities for an assigned portfolio of dealerships. You will lead monthly planning and performance conversations with dealership leadership, translate business objectives into clear briefs for internal teams, and ensure campaigns are delivered on time with strong operational discipline.

This role coordinates execution with internal media buyers, the internal creative shop, and web development partners. In addition, you will directly execute lifecycle and promotional campaigns for Email and SMS.

      What drives your day-to-day?

      • Lead monthly dealership marketing planning and performance meetings, aligning priorities to store goals and seasonality.
      • Build and maintain monthly marketing plans, including channel mix recommendations, pacing, and optimization priorities.
      • Coordinate campaign execution across internal media buyers, the internal creative shop, and web development to ensure timely delivery and alignment to objectives.
      • Translate dealership needs into clear briefs and requirements, including target audience, messaging, landing page requirements, and measurement approach.
      • Execute lifecycle and promotional campaigns for Email and SMS, including segmentation, scheduling, QA, and performance optimization.
      • Execute Fixed Ops campaign initiatives (service retention, seasonal service offers, service reminders, reactivation), working closely with dealership stakeholders, third party partners, OEMs and internal teams.
      • Monitor and evaluate performance trends (lead volume, lead quality, conversion rates, CPL/CPA where applicable), and recommend corrective actions when performance shifts.
      • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with dealership leadership (GM, Sales Managers, Fixed Ops leadership, Controllers), balancing strategic guidance with practical execution.
      • Escalate risks early (tracking gaps, site conversion friction, creative throughput constraints, budget pacing issues) and drive resolution through the right teams.

      Measurement and Reporting

      • Own monthly reporting and insights using Tableau and GA4 and compiling slide decks reviewing KPIs & planning.
      • Provide channel-level and campaign-level performance analysis, with clear takeaways and next actions.
      • Communicate performance in a way that dealership leadership can act on, including what changed, why it likely changed, and what we are doing next.

      Skills and Knowledge

      • Performance marketing fundamentals and fluency in measurement concepts (conversion rate, CPL/CPA, attribution limitations, funnel performance).
      • Comfortable presenting results and recommendations to senior non-marketing stakeholders.
      • Budget pacing and allocation discipline, with a focus on efficiency and outcomes.
      • Strong project and stakeholder management across multiple concurrent timelines.
      • Email and SMS lifecycle execution experience, including segmentation and testing.
      • Automotive experience is an asset but not required.

      Education and Experience

      • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
      • 2 to 3 years of experience in marketing, account management, performance marketing, or a similar role.
      • Proficiency with standard productivity tools (Outlook, Excel/Sheets, Powerpoint, presentation tools).
      • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
      • Advanced project management skills.
      • Ability to work independently in a large office environment as well as be part of a team.
      • Extremely detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful.
      • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills are required to interact with internal stakeholders, key vendors and team members.
      • Strong organizational and time management skills, handling multiple priorities, performing a variety of tasks and meeting required deadlines.

      The Perks.

      • Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package
      • Employee Vehicle Purchase & Service Plans
      • Employee and Family Assistance Programs
      • Company-wide appreciation events and contests throughout the calendar year
      • Professional development and the opportunity to grow your career
