      The Opportunity

      This position works out of our St Lukes Medical Center QC location in the Established Pharmaceuticals Division.

      Established Pharmaceuticals business is focused on building broad portfolios of pharmaceutical products in five key therapeutic areas (TAs): Cardiometabolic, CNS/Pain, Gastroenterology, Respiratory and Women's Health.

      The Medical Representative will be responsible for consistent sales growth and achievement of goals and targets for our Pharmaceutical business in the assigned regions, while collaborating among other team members and sharing knowledge and increase efforts towards aligned sales plans by finding opportunities, improving and gaining new business while maintaining the existing business.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Promote the company’s products to healthcare professionals in order to educate them on the value that our products bring to the patients/customers.
      • Achieve Area sales targets and carry out sales calls, targeting high sales areas for maximum efficiency.
      • Ensure the achievement of sales goals and targets in the assigned territory.
      • Ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets in the assigned territory.
      • Monitor market trends and competitor activity in assigned territory
      • Identify new opportunities and gain new business while maintaining the existing business.
      • Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on the application of company products and services to customer requirements.
      • Establish and develop relations with key personnel in all facilities in the assigned territory.
      • Provide reports to Direct Manager regarding territory status, to include forecasts, proposals and business reviews.
      • Ensure mastery of Product knowledge related to the company’s products as well as the competitive products that are available in the market.
      • Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with company image, ensuring activities stay in sync with legal and ethical standards.

      Job Qualification

      • Graduate of a bachelor’s degree (Medical background, science, biology, pharmacy, Nursing, etc...)
      • Effective communications and empathic listening skills to relate to customers
      • Persuasive, impactful, persevering, and a team player
      • Self-driven person, confident and willing to be trained
      • Results focused
      • Anticipate, adapt and act according to the changes in the business environment
      • Interested in pursuing a career in sales and in doing field work
