- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the NIL program, ensuring strict compliance with SDSU policies and NCAA regulations.
- Unlocking exciting opportunities for student-athletes to maximize their NIL potential.
- Collaborating closely with campus partners, external stakeholders, and student-athletes to raise awareness of the NIL program.
- Spearheading innovative marketing initiatives.
- Driving the program's sustained growth and long-term success through strategic communication and relationship-building.
- Event management to enhance engagement and visibility.
- Contributing to SDSU's branding efforts while fostering entrepreneurial development among student-athletes.
- This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, temporary position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2026, with the possibility of reappointment.
- This position is designated as exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
- Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
- The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both written and orally, the application of regulations across a wide range of people and situations.
- Proficient knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to foster a culture of compliance and keep confidential information.
- Must be able to work well with a diverse population of student-athletes, staff, and coaches in a team atmosphere.
- Analytical experience as it relates to legislative rules interpretation.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of state and federal laws surrounding college athletics.
- Experience with contracts, licensing agreements, and intellectual property rights.

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to lead and coordinate all aspects of the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) Program at SDSU. This pivotal role involves:
Position Information
Education and Experience
Entry to the first level within this classification requires knowledge of the fundamentals of public affairs and/or media relations, and/or some exposure to marketing and marketing research. This background normally is obtained through a college degree, which includes relevant coursework in the field, and up to two years of related professional or technical experience. In addition, strong written and verbal communication skills with a solid foundation in grammar, spelling, and the composition of various communication vehicles are essential to initial entry to this classification.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $5,417 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
San Diego State University offers a rich benefits package that constitutes a major portion of total compensation.
