      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage outpatient care in collaboration with a physician, addressing acute and chronic oncology-related issues
      - Provide anticipatory guidance, patient and family education, and psychological support
      - Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary care team to improve quality of care
      - Utilize critical thinking and research principles to enhance nursing and medical practices
      - Participate in formal and informal learning opportunities to advance knowledge in oncology care

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
      - Current certification from a nationally recognized accrediting body for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants
      - Minimum of 1 year of oncology nursing experience or Nurse Practitioner experience for NPs; 2 years for PA II; 5 years for PA III
      - Master’s degree in Nursing for NPs or a successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Studies program for PAs
      - Maintenance of current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Licenses

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN, AOCN, CPON, BMTCN, CPHON) for Nurse Practitioners
      - Oncology Nurse Practitioner experience for NPs
      - Experience in a healthcare setting that emphasizes research and education
      - Completion of 100 hours of CME during each 2-year period of employment for Physician Assistants
