Job summary
We have the exciting opportunity for a Unqualified Nursery Assistant to join our team at Little Oaks Nursery. We are looking for a dedicated enthusiastic person to work within our nursery working with children aged 0-5 years
The nursery opens from 07:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday(closed bank holidays) , staff are required to shift patterns of 8 hour days with 30 minutes lunch break.
You should be the kind of person who can create a stimulating and fun environment with excellent communication skills both verbal and nonverbal at all levels, with a passion for 'In the Moment planning'.

The Trust have two busy workplace nurseries based at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job
The role includes meeting the diverse needs of children aged 3 months - 5 years, managing their time effectively in helping with observations and development records. Supporting the Nursery Practitioner in the needs of our parents and guardians acting professionally, compassionately and consistently in day to day and sensitive situations.

3.0 To actively promote good working practice and hold a high regard for the delivery of quality, flexible childcare ensuring that the nursery provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children and parents, promoting positive play experiences at all times.
4.0 Support nursery staff to promote the successful implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage through effective curriculum planning.
5.0 To work as part of a team and support/guide Students ensuring that they are encouraged to reach maximum potential.
6.0 Actively promote diversity both in relation to childcare provision generally and in the nurseries, ensuring that a culturally sensitive environment is maintained.
7.0 Support nursery staff to ensure maximum use of available resources to support the nursery achieve a break-even basis at the end of each financial year.
8.0 Considerable flexibility is required to meet the changing needs of the children.
