      Job Purpose and Impact

      This position provides leadership and manages commercial responsibilities for Oilseeds & Meals, Ag & Trading India business. The Commercial Manager will execute the Oilseeds & Meals business plan, local business development and will create sustainable key customer and supplier relationships. In this role, you will provide commercial leadership and oversight across the functional activities to drive alignment across groups.

      The position is primarily accountable for leading the oilseeds & meals commercial team comprising trading, sales/merchandising with collaboration of other functions and partnering with the Global/Regional product lines and strategic customers including other Cargill businesses to maximize business profitability and build sustainability in volume and PNL.

      Additionally, the position has direct accountability to provide support in growth projects, manage local regulatory environment and provide insights on macro-economic trends, competitive landscape and Government policies and regulatory framework.

      Key Accountabilities

      Oilseeds & Meals Commercial Strategy & Business Growth

      Lead Commercial function and provide strategic and tactical inputs and execution support to achieve Commercial objectives and goals for Oilseeds & Meals business.
      Actively participate in the Ag & Trading India business Strategy building and execution and in the tactic follow up works.
      Lead and collaborate game plans with the regional product lines to maximize country centric global trading and cash franchise opportunities for imports, exports, and domestic businesses.
      Expanding market and customer networks and exploring commercial opportunities in new products and new markets.
      Drive future focused growth strategy with specific impetus on building business sustainability through low-risk customer partnership driven PNL and core trading play in the domestic flows.
      Execute asset enabled growth strategy for long term competitive positioning, supply chain superiority, cost efficiencies with the goal to maximize business profitability.
      Support Sustainability, Digital and Commercial Excellence Programs to drive efficiency and growth.

      Risk Management & PNL

      Responsible for delivering Oilseeds & Meals business PNL including Origination/Merchandising/Trading/Processing activities in cash and futures market for Feed & Food Grains and NGFI products.
      Timely PNL forecasts and enhancing financial performance through effectively managing GI, SGA, forex etc.
      Manage local slate positions, product line trading and distribution risk management strategies to ensure full alignment and compliance to Risk Management Group (RMG) metrics for the business slate/VAR measures. Daily PNL forecast and risk management for local slate positions.
      Close collaboration with local TDA teams on demand and supply side to effectively build the SND and effectively integrate it with the local trading game plans, and other functions
      Develop strong market linkages for capturing market insights, macro factors and trends, industry practices and regulatory policies to build effective strategies and commercial game plans and effectively integrate with the Global/Regional product lines.
      Oversee the risk management from local environment (Government policies and Regularly framework), customer exposures and build effective relationships with various destination stakeholders.

      Customer Partnerships

      Build customer focused culture and customer engagement & relationship management capabilities in the team with particular attention on Commercial Excellence Digital Solutions. Lead Cargill’s partnership with other Cargill businesses and strategic external customers
      Champion Commercial Excellence program, directly oversee the Strategic Account Plans for the targeted Strategic and Key customers and drive strategies and tactical plans to build high customer engagement
      Build the Added Value Solutions portfolio for the business and lead solution deployment for building deeper customer partnerships
      Cultivate customer and supplier relationship building to create market access and customer insights which identify trading opportunities

      Team Building, Collaboration, Regulatory

      Build strong talent pool across the commercial team to deliver the business objectives and results
      Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions
      Provide leadership to build a strong collaborative work culture with the other functions and businesses and foster connectivity and collaboration with the product lines and WTG/SSEA AUS region stakeholders
      Effectively engage regulatory stakeholders, government bodies and participate in industry events for managing business risks &/or maximizing opportunities from external environment and policies framework

      Qualifications

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience,
      • 10 years’ trading and merchandising oilseeds & meals commodities experience for domestic, import and export.
      • 10 years of business management experience with complex activity, larger teams and significant profitability responsibility
      • Sound knowledge of domestic market.
      • Business / commercial strategy development and implementation
      • Marketing practices knowledgeable
      • Ability to challenge the status quo and provide new perspectives, ideas.
      • Able to lead and develop the business in an ethical and compliance way
      • Effective communication with people at all levels
      • A proven Authentic and inspirational leader
      • Able to foster an inclusive environment and culture and lead a diverse team effectively.

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • Master's degree in business
      • Proficiency in business financial processes
      • Commercial business skills to comprehend earnings drivers
      • Confirmed experience in customer-facing roles and responsibilities
