      JOB DESCRIPTION:

      OpEx Engineer – Queretaro Site

      Main Purpose Of Role

      This position is responsible, under general direction, for the execution of Operational excellence initiatives aligned with site goals and imperatives for increasing revenue, capacity, optimizing cycle time, space utilization, and improving customer satisfaction. The role is accountable for delivering tactical results from the application of Lean, OpEx and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

      Main Responsibilities

      • Execute and support business unit overall layout administration including space utilization optimization analysis for the short and long term. May lead Site Master Plan and Layout Changes Control Forums intended to accomplish a strategic and tactic control of space and capacity utilization of the site and/or business unit
      • Execute method & time studies, capacity analysis and line balancing.
      • Calculate business unit direct labor needs to support year over year demands and to establish direct labor standards in coordination with the finance and operations teams.
      • Generate models and/or scenarios for Direct Labor Headcount requirements and volumes rates that support the best optimal cost structure for the business.
      • Lead, facilitate and/or support tactical process improvement projects in the business unit, applying lean manufacturing and kaizen event principles.
      • May provide support to the implementation of 5s activities in manufacturing and or support areas.
      • Support the introduction of new product lines by creating the capacity models and defining the correct distribution of work stations throughout the manufacturing area.
      • In conjunction with sister sites, facilities and maintenance creates the facility matrix needed to support the introduction of new product lines.
      • Organize and plan the activities, able to keep track and provide progress status updates.

      Qualifications

      Education

      • Bachelor degree in chemical sciences, industrial engineering, mechanical, electronical engineering, automation, robotics, mechatronic engineering.

      Experience

      • Continuous Improvement Engineer
      • Operational Excellence, lean concepts such as line balancing, constraint theory, process flow map, continuous improvement tools, statistical analysis, elaborate analysis reports for efficiencies, yields, scrap.
      • 4 years of experience
      • OPEX Engineer / Manufacturing engineer
      • Operational Excellence, lean concepts such as line balancing, constraint theory, process flow map, continuous improvement tools, statistical analysis, elaborate analysis reports for efficiencies, yields, scrap.
      • DMAIC, PDCA,8D´s (basic knowledge)
      • Lean Manufacturing (preferred)
      • Intermediate commands of English
