      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide direct patient assessments and perform necessary measurements to evaluate eye health
      - Collect and record data from in-person patient assessments, including tests for visual acuity and intraocular pressure
      - Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and equipment, ensuring all are operational and properly stored
      - Assist in the execution of clinical ophthalmic eye exams and procedures
      - Report any patient concerns or adverse reactions to the attending physician in a timely manner

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School diploma/GED required; specific experience required varies by position level (1-3 years in ophthalmic/optometric assisting)
      - Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within the first 30 days of employment
      - For Certified positions, current Ophthalmic Assistant Certification is necessary
      - Strong communication skills and ability to manage stressful situations effectively
      - Understanding of clinical urgency and ability to prioritize tasks

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in a medical setting or with ophthalmic/optometric assisting
      - Additional certifications related to ophthalmic technology or patient care
      - Familiarity with ophthalmic testing equipment and procedures
      - Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse patient population
      - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
