The Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education (CCRCE) is currently seeking interest from both qualified teachers and those who will be qualified for specialty areas before September 1, 2026 for early hire teaching opportunities for the 2026/2027 school year. These teachers must meet the requirements for Nova Scotia Teaching Certification and possess a valid NS teaching license prior to the start of work in September, 2026.
Specialty areas that CCRCE is currently recruiting for include (but is not limited to):
CCRCE is broken into four families of schools; Celtic (Pictou County area), Chignecto (Cumberland County), Cobequid (Colchester County), and Nova (Municipality of East Hants and the lower area of Colchester County). We are comprised of approximately 2,700 staff, all striving to provide a well-rounded education for almost 20,000 students in Pre-Primary to grade 12. Our region is made up of 65 schools in central and northern Nova Scotia, stretching from the New Brunswick border to the Antigonish County line and from the Northumberland Strait to the Halifax Regional Municipality
