      Position Title (Classification Title): OPS Research Assistant Pool for Computer Science Department
      Working Title: Research Assistant
      Job Summary: Serves in a research capacity for a specified department or project within the university, which may include the following duties and responsibilities:
      • Performs tasks related to specific function/program assigned
      • Assumes responsibilities and assists faculty members in research and creative activities for a designated research area
      • Develops work plans in accordance with research objectives
      • Assists in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data and/or research findings
      • Assists with the development and evaluation of materials related to the scope of the research project
      • Assists in specialized administrative, technical, or editorial duties connected to research and creative activities
      • Prepares reports as needed
      • Supervises/coordinates participants for data collection
      • Supervises/coordinates scoring of project data
      • Completes other tasks as assigned by the principal investigator(s)
      • Works on supporting ongoing research grants and assisting faculty with developing new grant applications

      FLSA: Non-Exempt
      Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.

      Preferred Qualifications Experience with issues pertaining to research and scope of research projects; experience organizing resources, time management, and adhering to budgets associated with specific projects; skilled in the use of personal computer and related software applications; M.S. degree or higher.

      Work Hours 20 to 25 hours a week

      Salary Range $15.00 to $25.00 an hour depending on experience
