      Job Summary: The Paralegal II is responsible for supporting the Office of the General Counsel in two or more of the following substantive areas of law: Contracts, Privacy, Intellectual Property, Real Estate, M&A Employment, Regulatory, Governance, and/or Litigation.

      Essential Functions:
      • Provide support to attorneys on the CareSource Legal team
      • Act as first level responder to internal and external inquiries related to areas of responsibility
      • Review and/or prepare a variety of legal documents including affidavits, contracts, correspondence, forms, filings, leases, legal notices, memorandums, and responses to government agencies
      • Effectively research and summarize legal issues using search engines, articles, judicial decisions, and other resources
      • Initiate, gather and analyze information related to various legal issues and make recommendations
      • Effectively prioritize workload and monitor deadlines
      • Accurately communicate relevant and potentially sensitive information to and from internal and external partners
      • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise good judgment
      • May handle administrative responsibilities delegated by senior attorneys
      • Perform any other job duties as requested


      Education and Experience:
      • Associate's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
      • Five (5) years of relevant experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is required
      • Healthcare and/or managed care experience preferred

      • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint

      Licensure and Certification:
      • Notary Public or willing to obtain Notary and eNotary commission preferred


      Working Conditions:
      • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time


      Compensation Range:
      $53,400.00 - $85,600.00
