The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching BIOL/MARI 3635.03, “Species at Risk”. The course will be offered in the summer session, May 15 – May 30, 2026, Monday through Sunday, approx. 0805-1955.
Responsibilities include all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, test preparation, planning field trips and evaluation of tests and reports. The fieldwork for this course can include a 7 – 10 day camping trip. The part-time academic will also be responsible for preparing a budget in consultation with the program director and keeping related expenses within the approved budget. The part-time academic should expect to spend considerable time before and after the official course dates in preparation for the course and marking assignments. Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus, or out on field trips if appropriate. This position reports to the Chair of the department.About the company
