Monitors that all payroll entries for completed payroll runs are posted in the relevant Chevron ERP.
Coordinates with relevant parties to secure supporting documentation to complete accounting entries and reports
Completes month end accounting activities such as accruals, cost re-direction or charge outs, cost analysis, etc
Handles funding of payroll disbursements
Perform accounts reconciliation
Monitors performance of SOX controls and ensures that documentary evidences are available for review
Handles internal inquiries and requests related to payroll GL recordings and controls
Follows data privacy policies and protects the confidentiality of employee information
Identifies, collaborates, and implements process efficiencies
Learns and applies digital tools to automate manual processes
Participates, as necessary, in internal corporate initiatives that impacts payroll accounting
Enjoys working with details, high level of accuracy and precision
Thrives in a team-oriented environment
Has a strong interest and ability to learn new systems and tools
Comprehends and safeguards sensitive data appropriately
Good understanding of internal financial controls
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a must
