Job Description

- Familiarity with accessibility features within various platforms such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Word, InDesign, Excel.
- Manually tag complex PDF layouts.
- Skilled in applying WCAG and PDF/UA standards.
- Knowledge of assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
- Skilled in using accessibility checkers within various source files before conversion to PDF.
- Understanding of manual testing practices (color contrast, reading order, etc.).
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix accessibility issues independently.
- Able to manage multiple remediation tasks across multiple teams simultaneously.
- Able to clearly document remediation work, track progress, and manage files.
- Comfortable interpreting and applying audit results.
- Attention to detail and capable of explaining accessibility concepts to non-experts.
- Comfortable collaborating with content creators, designers, and project managers throughout the document lifecycle.
- Provide guidance and feedback to content creators on best practices for creating accessible documents
Job Description:
As a PDF Accessibility Remediation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring a variety of PDF documents meet compliance standards for accessibility. This role requires a strong understanding of accessibility principles, and advanced proficiency with relevant software.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $60.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
