What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify insurance coverage benefits for genetic testing
- Coordinate with vendors for timely prior authorizations
- Trend and report payer-related issues
- Assist in obtaining documentation required by insurance
- Create reports using Excel and PowerPoint
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of CPT codes, medical terminology, and insurance plans
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Excellent computer skills
- Min 1 year of experience in working denials and writing appeals
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Some college preferred
- Xifin knowledge preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in a clinical laboratory, especially genetic billing
